About Voluntary Work:

WWoofers in Nierika help us mainly in the community vegetable-garden, but we also have two cows, a few chickens, and a horse. Daily work-loads are cooking, to produce the Patchamama-marmelades-and fruit-juices, to make cheese, help out in our bilingual kinder garden and primary-school, work in landscaping and herbal remedies projects etc. Also, we have some carpentry and ecological building projects where help is needed. Volunteers are expected to work 30 hours a week in exchange for food and lodging and they should be self-motivated and able to often times work independently. The minimum time for wwoof’ing at Nierika is 3 weeks, but we prefer people who come to volunteer for longer than that, as it is sometimes difficult for the children to handle so many different people coming and going. Maximum lengths of stay depends on valid visa and integration in Nierika. To ensure a harmonic relationship between Nierika and the Wwoofers, we reserve the right to decide on the lengths of stay after the first few days.
